11th February 2007
Kite buggying - boarding: West Wittering
Wind Direction: SW - W
Wind Stength: 20-25mph
Surf / Sea State:
Air Temperature: 8
Sea Temperature:
Weather: Cloudy and Sunny
Max Speed: 35.1 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 22.5 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Left home in the rain at 7am with fingers crossed windguru would be right in its prediction of 20mph SW and no rarin.

Arrived at 9am to find a SW 20mph but not much beach as it is neap tides. Beach was very wet as it had been raining most of the morning.

Started on the 1.4m and had a few runs but needed more power. Changed right up to the 2.8m and had some scary fast runs, big problem was the lack of grip in the standing water and inability to slow down by powersliding. Got a top speed of 35.1mph but was probably going sideways at the time aquaplaning across the beach, I am getting closer to that elusive 40mph now!! By about 1030 there were too many people on the beach to risk being so overpowered so changed down to 2.2m, wind swung W and was more cross shore so wasnt as good, also a kitesurfer had dumped his kite on the one dry bit of beach left which limited my runs.

All in all a nice session, very damp though. Another day when I wished I had discs.
